If you play it for 1 or 2 hours, then try to save game at a safe house, it opens menu, but names of all save slots are invisible, it just shows selection. For eg:- I select save slot 2, it highlights it, but there is no text!

So, better if you use a save game for this mission, else you are stuck on first island.

You can also try using a game pad, maybe game was designed keeping game pads in focus. This is a problem with all ports of GTA on Android.
